New Delhi/IBNS, Sept. 5 -- Union Minister Chirag Paswan's Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) has filed a complaint against Hindutva influencer Swatantra Bhardwaj for allegedly "falsely" taking the parliamentarian's name in connection with the assault of the father of a student activist during a protest led by the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) in New Delhi, media reports said.

The LJP (Ram Vilas) has denied any involvement in the incident and alleged that Bhardwaj had "falsely" invoked Paswan's name.

The party said Paswan had instead supported student activist Nishu Azad and her injured father, Sanjay Kumar.

Paswan has alleged that Bhardwaj misused his name and demanded action against him.
