Atlanta/IBNS, July 2 -- Harry Kane starred with a match-winning brace as England came from behind to defeat DR Congo 2-1 at Atlanta Stadium on Wednesday, securing a place in the Round of 16 of the FIFA World Cup 2026.

England finally found the breakthrough in the 75th minute when captain Harry Kane headed home from Anthony Gordon's cross to level the scores.

Kane then completed the comeback in the 86th minute with a powerful long-range strike, sealing England's victory and setting up a Round of 16 clash against Mexico.
