Gurugram/IBNS, Sept. 16 -- Kalyan Bainsla, who was arrested for allegedly knocking down a woman sports biker in Gurugram, has been sent to police custody for two days, media reports said.

Bainsla, who was allegedly driving the car that hit the biker, was arrested along with co-accused Lavnish Gurjar.

Gurjar has also been sent to police custody.

According to Sia, she was riding her sports bike with members of her biking group on Golf Course Road when a car allegedly began following her.

She said she initially asked the driver to maintain a safe distance. However, the driver allegedly refused and instead asked her to stop.

Sia further claimed that the occupants of the car appeared to be drunk.
