India, April 1 -- The United Kingdom is set to host a major international conference this week aimed at reopening the strategically crucial Strait of Hormuz, as tensions in the region continue to disrupt global energy supplies, media reports said.

Prime Minister Keir Starmer said 35 countries have agreed to work together to restore maritime security and ensure the safe movement of ships through the vital route.
