India, Sept. 6 -- A new tourism campaign meant to showcase West Bengal has sparked ridicule after viewers noticed that its promotional video featured the Eiffel Tower, Egyptian pyramids and Rio's Christ the Redeemer-but offered little glimpse of Bengal itself.
The campaign, unveiled as part of the state's new tourism brand identity, has left social media users questioning why global landmarks dominate a film that was meant to promote West Bengal.
