India, Aug. 31 -- Maria Harshitha, a former Amazon employee, has shared her journey from working in the technology sector to building a poultry business after being laid off.

In a LinkedIn post, Maria said she was laid off by Amazon in March 2026. Instead of securing another job in the technology sector, she eventually decided to build her own poultry business.

She initially tried to find another job but faced repeated rejections despite reaching out to former colleagues, seniors and family members for recommendations.
