India, Sept. 26 -- A former senior technology executive, dismissed after an incident during a company trip in Austria, is seeking nearly Rs 964 crore in compensation from her former employer, in what could become one of the largest payouts ever awarded by a British employment tribunal, Independent reported.

Shannon Burns, who has ADHD, was vice-president of engineering at software company Gitpod when she attended a team-building trip to Lofer, Austria, in April 2023.

During the trip, Burns had been drinking alcohol and reportedly forgot her room key. Unable to access her room, she eventually slept in a sauna.
