Ottawa, April 13 -- Finnish President Alexander Stubb will visit Ottawa from April 14 to 15 for talks with Prime Minister Mark Carney, marking their first formal bilateral meeting.
The visit comes as Canada seeks to strengthen ties with Nordic partners amid growing geopolitical uncertainty, with discussions set to focus on defence, trade, technology, energy and Arctic cooperation.
The trip builds on Carney's recent engagement with Nordic countries and reflects a broader push by Ottawa to diversify trade partnerships and deepen cooperation with like-minded allies.
