Bhopal/IBNS, July 29 -- Traffic was disrupted while schools and colleges remained shut as protesting farmers marched into Madhya Pradesh's capital, Bhopal, after continuing their protest march overnight, according to media reports.

Traffic movement was severely affected as clashes broke out between the protesters and the police after farmers breached barricades and climbed onto buses during their march.

A heavy police deployment was made after the farmers announced on Tuesday that they would gherao the residence of Chief Minister Mohan Yadav.

The protesters were eventually stopped before the Veer Savarkar Bridge on Hoshangabad Road.
