Ahmedabad/IBNS, March 4 -- Around 200 Indian citizens stranded in Saudi Arabia were brought back home on a special IndiGo relief flight amid widespread airspace restrictions triggered by the escalating Middle East conflict, media reports said.
The flight, carrying passengers stuck in Jeddah, landed at Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport in Ahmedabad late Tuesday night.
Emotional scenes unfolded at the airport as stranded citizens reunited with their loved ones after days of uncertainty.
Several other returnees expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah for facilitating their evacuation.
