India, June 4 -- Pakistan's Embassy in Japan has clarified that it has no involvement in a mosque construction project in Kawagoe, Saitama Prefecture, after local authorities raised concerns that the structure was built without the necessary approvals under Japanese planning laws.

The clarification comes amid scrutiny over construction activity on land classified as forest area within an urbanisation control zone, where development is strictly regulated.
