India, April 12 -- Pakistan's households are set to face higher electricity costs after the National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) approved an increase in tariffs under the monthly fuel price adjustment (FPA), according to media reports.
NEPRA has raised electricity rates by Rs 1.42 per unit and issued a formal notification for the hike, ARY News reported.
As per government policy guidelines, the revised tariff will also apply to consumers of K-Electric.
However, the hike will not apply to lifeline consumers or electric vehicle (EV) charging stations.
