India, July 1 -- Tension erupted outside Trinamool Congress MP Mahua Moitra's office in Krishnanagar on Wednesday after protesters allegedly pelted eggs and stones at the premises while waving black flags and raising slogans, triggering a heated confrontation.

Videos from the scene showed a large crowd gathered outside the office as the protest intensified.

The Trinamool Congress alleged that BJP workers were behind the demonstration, while the BJP denied the charge.
