India, March 25 -- Dubai is preparing to roll out a series of significant changes from April 2026, impacting banking security, school operations, air travel, and residency rules as part of broader policy updates across the emirate.

Banks in the United Arab Emirates are set to complete the phased removal of one-time passwords (OTPs) sent via SMS and email for high-value transactions.

The shift is aimed at enhancing digital security and reducing fraud risks in online payments and QR-based transactions.

Schools to resume in-person classes

Students across Dubai's schools and universities, who have been attending classes remotely since March 23, are expected to return to campuses from April 3.
