India, April 29 -- The US government will soon issue specially designed passports featuring an image of President Donald Trump, according to media reports citing a State Department official.

The official told CNN that the passport "will be the default passport out of the Washington Passport Agency when available" for those renewing their passports in person at that location.

"Online options or other locations will maintain the existing passport design," the official added.

According to a mock-up of the passport, Trump's face and his signature in gold will appear inside the document, which serves as an international travel identification and remains valid for 10 years.
