India, Sept. 21 -- The Dhaka Metropolitan Police have arrested 527 people and filed 55 cases during regular drives conducted across the capital over a 24-hour period, media reports said.

According to Bangla News 24, the arrests included 52 people from Ramna Division, 43 from Lalbagh, 57 from Wari, 63 from Motijheel, 79 from Tejgaon, 146 from Mirpur, 41 from Gulshan, 45 from Uttara and one person from the Detective Branch.

During the operation, police recovered an unexploded cocktail, 500 grams of gunpowder, 500 grams of jute cloth, 250 grams of petrol, 35 grams of nails from exploded cocktails, seven pieces of tin, 10 pieces of tape, 104 nails and parts of an exploded cocktail.

Police also seized 54.245 kg of cannabis, 4,115 yaba table...
