Delhi hostel collapse: Death toll rises to 6, shopkeeper's narrow escape caught on camera
India, Sept. 7 -- The death toll in the PG hostel building collapse in Delhi's Satya Niketan has risen to six, with rescuers working on a frantic footing to pull out survivors trapped under the rubble, media reports said on Monday.
Eleven students have so far been rescued from the site.
Meanwhile, a video has gone viral showing the moment a shopkeeper narrowly escaped after the building collapsed, trapping several people under the debris.
The shopkeeper was seen sitting outside his roadside store when the structure suddenly collapsed. He managed to flee the spot at the last moment, narrowly escaping the tragedy.
The structure, which was around 50 years old, stood on a 55-square-yard plot in a resettlement colony, a senior MCD official...
