India, Sept. 23 -- Police have arrested three men, including one injured in a brief exchange of gunfire, for the alleged gang rape of a 17-year-old girl at Aastha Kunj Park near New Delhi's Kalkaji Mandir.

According to reports, the suspects posed as policemen and threatened the girl and her male friend before committing the crime.

According to media reports, the key accused, identified as Asif, allegedly was among the three who posed as policemen and took the girl away at gunpoint to a secluded part of the park on Monday evening.

After being questioned, police also arrested the other two accused, identified as Hemant, a lawyer, and his brother Mukesh, a final-year BSc Mathematics student, from their residence.
