New Delhi/IBNS, June 6 -- The Delhi Police detained six people as a precautionary measure to prevent a potential clash between two groups during the inaugural protest organised by the satirical campaign group Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) at Jantar Mantar in the national capital.

According to officials, six individuals were taken into custody after they were allegedly found attempting to disrupt the demonstration.

Hundreds join protest

Hundreds of people participated in the protest called by US-based CJP founder Abhijeet Dipke.

Dipke arrived in New Delhi on Saturday morning and headed directly to Jantar Mantar after landing in the national capital.
