India, April 21 -- The rise of clean electricity reached a major turning point in 2025, with renewable energy sources meeting all growth in global power demand and preventing an increase in fossil fuel generation, according to a new report by Ember.
The report highlights that the transition away from fossil fuels is being driven largely by developments in China and India - the two largest contributors to global fossil power growth over the past two decades.
