Kolkata/IBNS, June 9 -- The West Bengal Criminal Investigation Department (CID) on Tuesday visited a Trinamool Congress (TMC) office in Kolkata's Kalighat area as part of its ongoing investigation into an alleged signature forgery controversy.

The party office is located adjacent to the residence of former West Bengal Chief Minister and Trinamool Congress supremo Mamata Banerjee.

A team from the state investigative agency arrived at the premises along with personnel from Kalighat Police Station to carry out inquiries linked to the case.

The visit marks a significant development in the probe into the alleged forgery matter, with investigators seeking to collect evidence and verify information connected to the case.
