Christopher Nolan does it again: 'The Odyssey' becomes a $1.1 billion Box Office monster
India, Aug. 10 -- Christopher Nolan's The Odyssey has achieved two major box-office milestones over the weekend, cementing its position as one of the biggest commercial successes of the year.
The epic film, based on Homer's ancient Greek masterpiece, has now become IMAX's highest-grossing release of all time, earning $289 million globally. It has overtaken James Cameron's 2009 blockbuster Avatar, which earned $271 million in IMAX theatres, not adjusted for inflation, Variety reported.
