Kolkata/IBNS, Oct. 15 -- Following incidents of motorcycles skidding on the painted stretch of Chingrighata flyover in Kolkata during the Durga Puja festivities, fibre paver blocks have been installed at 10-metre intervals along the bridge after it was closed overnight.

The road surface has also been made less smooth to improve traction and reduce the risk of skidding.

Initially, a section of netizens dismissed the viral video of the incidents as AI-generated.

However, the footage was later found to be authentic, prompting the administration to take corrective measures.
