India, May 4 -- Canada's top intelligence agency has labelled Khalistani extremists as a national security threat and warned that a portion of the network continues to leverage Canadian institutions to promote their violent extremist agenda and collect funds from unsuspecting community members to divert it towards violent activities.
"There were no CBKE-related attacks in Canada in 2025. Ongoing involvement in violent extremist activities by CBKEs continues to pose a national security threat to Canada and to Canadian interests," the report said.
The assessment was published in the Canadian Security Intelligence Service's 2025 public report.
