Canada Investment Summit secures nearly $500 billion in new investment commitments
Toronto/IBNS, Sept. 16 -- Canada's first Investment Summit has secured nearly $500 billion in new investment commitments, as Prime Minister Mark Carney's government seeks to attract capital into infrastructure, technology, energy, critical minerals and defence.
The commitments include nearly $100 billion in new capital from Canadian pension funds, insurers and institutional investors, nearly $325 billion in financing from major banks, and more than $14 billion to be mobilised by investment funds.
