London/IBNS, Aug. 13 -- A University of Cambridge academic is facing scrutiny over writings she contributed to a Hizb ut-Tahrir publication more than two decades ago, including criticism of Western education, democracy and aspects of the British school system.

Farah Ahmed is currently an Assistant Research Professor at Cambridge University's Faculty of Education, according to the university's official staff profile.

Her research interests include Islamic education, educational dialogue, identity and personhood.
