India, March 20 -- RM, leader of BTS, has suffered an ankle injury just two days ahead of the group's highly anticipated concert in Seoul, which is set to mark their full-group comeback after a four-year hiatus.

According to a statement from BigHit Music, the rapper sustained the injury during rehearsals on Thursday and was taken to hospital for examination and treatment, as reported by Yonhap News Agency.

Doctors diagnosed him with ligament damage and inflammation, advising him to wear a leg cast and limit movement for at least two weeks.

Despite the injury, RM has expressed a strong desire to participate in the performance.
