India, Sept. 4 -- The Cockroach Janta Party (CJP), led by Abhijeet Dipke, appears to be facing its first internal rebellion, with former volunteer Manish Brahmbhatt launching a breakaway platform called the Cockroach Janata Party-Democratic (CJP-D).

Brahmbhatt has accused Dipke of sidelining protesters and transforming what began as a youth-led movement into a hand-picked "Team Kejriwal".

The CJP and Dipke had not responded to Brahmbhatt's allegations at the time of publication.

'Active protesters were excluded'

The latest development follows a confrontation in August, when Brahmbhatt travelled from Gujarat to Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar after learning that the CJP's core team was holding a meeting at Dipke's residence.
