Bomb threats, mines and underwater ops: India-US navies wrap up major Kochi exercise
India, Aug. 17 -- The eighth edition of the India-USN Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) Exercise 2026 concluded at the Southern Naval Command in Kochi on August 14.
The bilateral exercise featured intensive professional interactions, an exchange of best practices and demonstrations by teams from both navies.
The exercise provided a platform for the participating personnel to share knowledge and expertise across various aspects of Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) operations.
Subject Matter Expert Exchanges (SMEEs) focused on real-time threats posed by Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs), render-safe procedures, mine neutralisation and the deployment of unmanned underwater systems.
