India, April 25 -- In a significant political development in Telangana, former chief minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao's daughter K. Kavitha has launched her own political party, marking a formal break from the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS), media reports said.

Flanked by supporters, she unveiled the party's name and flag at Munirabad in Medchal district.

Kavitha had resigned from the BRS in September 2025 after being suspended over alleged anti-party activities.

Her exit followed escalating tensions within the party leadership.

She controversially described them as "anacondas of corruption," underlining the intensity of the internal rift.
