India, April 11 -- India has handed over 90 electric buses to Mauritius during External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar's visit to the island nation.

Presenting the buses to Prime Minister Navin Ramgoolam, Jaishankar said the initiative reaffirms the shared commitment of both countries to sustainable public transportation. He described the buses as a "moving symbol" of the growing green partnership between India and Mauritius.

During his visit, Jaishankar also inaugurated a Renal Transplant Unit at Jawaharlal Nehru Hospital. He said the new facility would improve access to tertiary healthcare for kidney patients and further deepen cooperation in the health sector.
