India, Aug. 11 -- A 31-year-old software professional has gone missing during a solo trek to Shivagange Hill on the outskirts of Bengaluru, triggering an intensive search operation involving the police, National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) and forest department.

Advait Upadhyay, a native of Indore in Madhya Pradesh, works for a finance firm in Whitefield and lives in Kadugodi.

Police said he rented a motorcycle on Friday and travelled to Shivagange after informing his fiancee that he planned to trek up the hill.
