Bengal land grab case: ED arrests fugitive Sona Pappu after 3 months on the run
India, May 18 -- After remaining untraceable for nearly three months, fugitive Biswajit Poddar, alia Sona Pappu, was arrested by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in connection with land-grabbing, extortion and financial fraud allegations on Monday after he appeared before the probe agency in Kolkata.
He appeared before the ED at the CGO Complex in Salt Lake, Kolkata, earlier in the day, marking a dramatic turn in a case that has been under intense scrutiny.
Pappu arrived at the ED office accompanied by his wife.
