India, Sept. 26 -- Bangladesh police have recovered explosive materials, crude bomb-making equipment and 9,000 paper masks during a raid in South Keraniganj, media reports said.

A 30-year-old man, identified as Zahid Hasan Emon, has been arrested in connection with the case.

According to sources at Shyampur Model Police Station cited by the Dhaka Tribune, a crude bomb exploded in front of Jatrabari Police Station on September 19, prompting police to launch an investigation.

During the probe, police reportedly received information about Emon's alleged involvement in the incident. He was arrested from the Baghapur area on Friday.
