Kolkata/IBNS, Oct. 6 -- The Builders Association of India (BAI), Eastern (Kolkata) Centre, has called for a series of reforms in West Bengal's government contracting system, seeking greater policy uniformity, realistic rates and timely payments to support infrastructure development across the state.

Rajib Manna, Chairman of BAI, Eastern (Kolkata) Centre, said engineers and contractors are important partners in West Bengal's development and that the association wants to contribute constructively towards improving the state's contracting ecosystem.

"Our objective is not only to highlight concerns but also to contribute constructively towards creating a stronger and more efficient contracting ecosystem," Manna said.
