Kolkata/IBNS, April 24 -- Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Friday claimed the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is poised for a sweeping victory in the first phase of the West Bengal Assembly elections, projecting over 110 seats out of 152 constituencies that went to polls.

He added that if trends from the second phase are factored in, the party is on course to form the government in the state.
