Mumbai/IBNS, May 2 -- Bollywood star Alia Bhatt is gearing up for a packed slate of releases, including the action film Alpha and Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Love & War.

Amid her busy schedule, Alia has reportedly signed on for a brief but impactful role in Tumbbad 2, the sequel to the 2018 folk horror Tumbbad.

According to a report by Mid-Day, the actor will make a special appearance that is expected to be pivotal to the storyline.

Alia is expected to begin shooting for the film on May 3 before flying to the US to attend the Met Gala the following day. She is likely to resume shooting after May 6.

Meanwhile, Love & War marks Alia's reunion with Bhansali, as well as with her husband Ranbir Kapoor and Raazi co-star Vicky Kaushal.
