After 3,300 job cuts, Uber tightens work-from-home rules: Only 1% employees to remain fully remote
India, Sept. 9 -- Amid its massive layoff drive, Uber has decided to tighten its rules for employees working from home by introducing a stricter return-to-office policy, media reports said.
Uber has already started a massive layoff drive, eliminating more than 3,000 positions as part of what the company described as a simplification of its team structures.
"It's our job as leaders to make these difficult calls, and to give you transparency into our thinking and our decision-making process," the company said.
Under the revised approach, Uber is tightening its expectations around where employees work.
