Jalalabad/IBNS, Feb. 28 -- Afghanistan on Saturday claimed it had captured a Pakistani pilot after a jet crashed in Jalalabad, according to media reports.
However, Pakistan strongly rejected the claim.
The latest claim comes after Afghanistan reportedly carried out aerial strikes on Pakistani border positions, which Kabul described as retaliation for earlier Pakistani air raids inside Afghan territory.
The Afghan Taliban administration accused Pakistan of bombing areas inside Afghanistan, including locations near civilian settlements, leading to casualties and damage. In response, Afghan forces allegedly targeted Pakistani military installations along the border.
