India, July 6 -- Adani Defence & Aerospace, the defence and aerospace arm of Adani Enterprises Limited (AEL), on Monday announced it broke ground on a Rs. 2,500-crore project in Shivpuri, Madhya Pradesh (MP), to establish South Asia's largest private-sector missile ecosystem.

The advanced missile ecosystem with composite propellant and Trinitrotoluene (TNT) production at a single location, will create an at-scale capability that is a first for India's private sector.

The company said the investment will generate 5,000 direct and indirect skilled jobs, create new opportunities for micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs).
