Kolkata/IBNS, Aug. 28 -- The Kolkata Police have filed First Information Reports (FIRs) against Trinamool Congress (TMC) national general secretary Abhishek Banerjee and two other party leaders in connection with the scuffle that broke out between TMC leaders and police personnel at the party's Camac Street office on Thursday evening.

The case has been registered at Shakespeare Sarani Police Station under Sections 191(2), 191(3), 190, 121(1), 74, 3(5) and 351(2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).

The FIRs come a day after a confrontation broke out between Banerjee and Kolkata Police personnel after a team of police officers and Kolkata Municipal Corporation (KMC) officials arrived at his Camac Street office to remove TMC billboards....
