India, June 22 -- India has recorded over 31 million downloads of the Aadhaar App within less than five months of its launch, according to an official government statement.

"The growing adoption reflects increasing resident confidence in the App for bringing services at their fingertips," the statement said.

Designed to enhance ease of living, the Aadhaar App enables users to access a range of services, including mobile number updates and address changes, directly from their smartphones.

So far, nearly 4 million users have updated their mobile numbers using the app, while around 850,000 have updated their addresses through the platform.
