India, July 26 -- Pralhad Joshi officially took charge of the Ministry of Education at Kartavya Bhavan in New Delhi on Sunday, a day after Dharmendra Pradhan quit amid severe NEET paper leak protests in the country.

The Minister also holds charge of the Union Ministries of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution, and New and Renewable Energy.

Union Minister of State of Education Jayant Chaudhary also attended the review meeting.

After taking charge, Pralhad Joshi wrote on X: "Today, I assumed charge as the Union Minister for Education."
