'When will character assassination of women stop?' Kangana Ranaut amid Udhayanidhi-Trisha row
New Delhi/IBNS, Sept. 8 -- Actor and BJP MP Kangana Ranaut has cited the controversy involving Tamil Nadu Leader of Opposition Udhayanidhi Stalin and actor Trisha Krishnan to speak out against what she described as the "character assassination" of women in society, media reports said.
Ranaut referred to the Tamil Nadu controversy while arguing that women, not just in India but across the world, are subjected to personal attacks when they hold positions of authority or achieve success.
"We have seen how in Tamil Nadu a well-established woman actor has been attacked during a political discourse between two rival parties," she added.
