New Delhi/IBNS, Oct. 6 -- Lok Sabha Leader of Opposition and Congress MP Rahul Gandhi led an INDIA bloc protest in the national capital on Tuesday, demanding the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar over alleged irregularities in the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls.

Rahul Gandhi was seen moving through a large crowd of protesters before climbing a police barricade and waving the national flag as opposition MPs marched towards the Election Commission of India (ECI) headquarters.

The march was stopped by security personnel near the NITI Aayog office. Several opposition MPs subsequently sat on the road in protest.
