India, June 30 -- US President Donald Trump on Tuesday reacted to the Supreme Court's decision upholding the principle of birthright citizenship, calling the ruling "too bad" for the country and urging Congress to pass legislation ending the practice.

In a post on his social media platform, Trump said lawmakers should begin work "today" to abolish what he described as "expensive and unfair" birthright citizenship, while pledging his full support for such legislation.
