New York/IBNS, March 23 -- "Stop, stop, stop." - an air traffic controller's urgent warning to a ground vehicle driver moments before a fatal collision at LaGuardia Airport has surfaced in a viral audio clip, media reports said.

The crash involving an Air Canada Express aircraft killed the pilot and co-pilot.

The flight, which was travelling from Montreal, struck the ground vehicle upon arrival, according to FlightRadar24.

Unverified videos circulating on social media suggest the aircraft's nose section was damaged in the crash. Several people were reported critically injured.

The incident prompted the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) to suspend operations at the airport until 5:30 am (GMT), warning the halt could be extended.
