India, May 11 -- The Trinamool Congress (TMC) has strongly criticised the appointment of senior IAS officer Manoj Agarwal as West Bengal's Chief Secretary in the newly formed BJP-led government, calling the move "deeply questionable" and raising concerns over electoral neutrality.
The appointment was made by the administration headed by Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari shortly after the formation of the new government, triggering a sharp political backlash from the TMC.
