Mashhad/IBNS, Sept. 16 -- Passengers screamed as their belongings fell from the overhead compartments after a Sepehran Airlines Boeing 737 began vibrating heavily due to a technical problem shortly after taking off from Mashhad in northeastern Iran, media reports said.

The Kermanshah-bound flight was forced to return to Mashhad after the crew detected the problem and informed passengers about the situation.

According to reports, a tyre came off one of the aircraft's wheels shortly after take-off, following which the aircraft began experiencing severe vibrations.

The pilot reportedly informed passengers about the technical issue as the flight continued to experience heavy shaking.
