New Delhi/IBNS, April 17 -- The debate over the Women's Reservation Bill and its linkage with delimitation intensified on Friday, with Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi calling the government's move a "panic reaction".
Addressing the Lok Sabha, Gandhi alleged that the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) introduced the bill despite lacking the numbers needed to redraw the electoral map.
The Congress MP claimed the move was aimed at sending two key messages.
